I taught in schools.
Now I teach in freedom.

Every child is naturally curious. Every mother has wisdom. And yet, so often, both are silenced.
Now is the time to reclaim our voices and theirs.

The world will tell you that school is the only way to educate your children.

It will tell you that professionals know better than mothers, that systems are safer than instincts, and that stepping outside the mainstream is irresponsible.

I believe the opposite is true.

Motherhood has been quietly stripped of its authority. Over time we have been conditioned to believe that institutions know our children better than we do - and that the most important decisions about their upbringing should be handed over to government systems, designed for efficiency rather than individuality.

At the same time, childhood itself has become increasingly structured, managed, and confined.

Curiosity is replaced with compliance.
Natural learning is trapped indoors, replaced by screens and schedules.
And the deep bond between mother and child is slowly pushed to the side lines.

I believe it’s time for mothers to reclaim something that was never meant to be surrendered.

Organic Edu grew out of that belief.

I’m Sarah - a mother living in the Northern Rivers of NSW and the voice behind this space. Before becoming a mother, I worked as a primary school teacher. That experience gave me a front row view of the education system and ultimately led me to question it deeply.

While schools may work for some families, I believe they are often the wrong place for many children to spend their childhood.

Children are natural learners.

They are curious, capable, and wired to explore the world around them. Yet the systems we place them in can suppress the very qualities that help them to thrive.

Through Organic Edu, I question the narratives we’ve been taught not to question and explore what it means for mothers to reclaim authority over their children’s upbringing and education.

I share honest reflections on motherhood, the challenges of stepping outside the mainstream, and the courage it takes to choose a different path.

I aim to reframe the narrative and help mothers resist the conditioning that makes us believe school is the only way to educate. I believe that if you want to homeschool, then you are better equipped than anyone else to educate your children. So many people in the world will tell you you’re wrong, incapable, or even ridiculous for suggesting home schooling. But I’m here to tell you they’re wrong. In many ways, they are simply small minded - conditioned by the very system they’re defending.

If you are dreaming up a future for your family where you see freedom through home learning, where you are raising conscious and empowered children, then you’re in the right place.

The world will tell you home education is wrong.

But I’m here to tell you the world is wrong.

No one knows your child better than you do.
And no one is more capable of guiding their education.

Organic Edu exists to support mothers who are ready to trust themselves again - and to raise children who are free to learn, grow, and become fully themselves.
